    Question About Thermal Compound

I just put some new thermal compound(arctic silver) on my cpu. It now runs alot cooler at idle, about 37 C. I think I might have put a little bit too much. My question is, if I redo the compound with a smaller amount, will this help my cooling performance? I put about double the recommended amount. Thanks for any help.

37c is very good. I'd leave well enough alone.

How does that artic silver go?

I just bought an Arctic Silver s939 cooler w/LED and before it arrived I bought a stick of coolermaster thermal compound. When the fan arrived it came with a small tube (3-4cm) of arctic silver thermal compound. Just wondering which one I should use when I buy my CPU.

Arctic Silver is generally considered one of the best thermal compounds so I would go with the AS.

    Good luck!
