    USB ports not working

I just installed a new hard drive and I am doing a new insall of all my software and hardware.

Motherboard is a Asus P4C800-E Deluxe running Windows XP Pro SP2.

Checked my BIOS and the USB ports are selected.

Now before this all USB ports worked fine..

Now, only 1 works and thats the one on the front of the tower.

In Control Panel they all show up, bur when I try to install my printers and scanner, no USB ports are working..

    Ideas?

Reinstall Windows, but this time unplug all USB devices.

Most USB devices require that you install the software first. If you leave them plugged in, you are breaking the rules.

    Just my luck...rules rules rules...

I did leave them plugged in during the new installation.

    Off to RE-INSTALL....

    Thanks Bill
