Best PC Gamepad Available
Hi ppl, long time no post
Just wondering what gamepad I should get to replace my dying Logitech Wingman Rumble. I looked on the net and saw that the saitek p3000 seems to be pretty good, but it lacks the rumble feature that I find is useful. I was thinking of getting another Logitech Rumble pad, but I wanted to see what your opinions are. I also noticed that people use a psx to usb converter for their ps2 controllers. Would that run well with no problems? Which gamepad do you use for playing games like GTA:SA, and Psychonauts? I'm so tired of using the keyboard and mouse to play them. Thanks in advance

I use the Playstation controller with USB converter and have not had any problems in the following games: Monster Truck Madness 1 and 2, Madden 2000, 2003, 2004, and a few of the Star Wars games (I forget the actual names) and I have not had any problems.

i never liked joysticks or game pads / game controllers for games, i had severals and none was good enough for my games, that's why i never liked consoles games, it just can;t live up to the PC speed and accuracy, when using a mouse + keyboard, or just keyboard for older games, or mouse only for some newer games.
LOL and games like Street Figher or alike using the G15 keyboard is a breeze, in fact better than any game controller you can find.
you can 1 button all the possible combos for each character

I remember in an issue of PC gamer they did an in-house contest of keyboard and mouse vs. controller (they used some FPS).
Needless to say the KB & M team p0wned the controller team.
On some games (esp. button mashers), the controller might be a better choice.

They should have expanded the games to include racing games and 3rd person games, like Prince of Persia. I use my xbox s-type for those kinds of games. I always use the mouse and keyboard for FPS, or point and click style games like Dungeon Siege.

I use one of these, you can get them for about $10-$15 on ebay it works pretty good *the version with a coord* , you can get wireless versions too but those are alot more expensive and its a pain switching batterys when they wear out

*the version with a coord* ,
ohhh... trust me... you want a COORDED version.
WIRED version of any kind of control, be it Keyboard or GamePad / JoyStick... is HORRIBLE, literally you die, it kills you... in game.
all my game "controllers" i switched them back from wireless to Wired.
