    weird problem

I was checking on the display of a win98 machine as the video suddenly reverted back to 16colors with 640x480 resolution. I changed it back to 800x600 high color but still went again to the 16 colors. When I rebooted machine... got an "invalid system disk error" and it wont boot up windows. I placed a start-up disk in the drive and ran scandisk on the hard disk and got a message that "last cluster of C may be corrupted, or hard drive should be in LBA mode... check configurations". I went to CMOS to check and my hdd is already set to LBA. Can anyone help me on this problem. It is a PIII 450 running on Win98. Thanks in advance.

Test the drive with the manufacturer's diagnostic utility. Naturally, you didn't mention the brand...

You have to be awake pretty early to get in before BpB. In fact, its best not to go to bed.
