Unlocking AMD Sempron 3000+?

Hello out there,

This might be a stupid question, but have anyone had any luck unlocking the multiblier of an AMD Barton CPU 3000+ with model code SDA3000DUT4. It comes with the first L5 bridge from the left intact, and the second one cut. On every picture of the Sempron CPU I've seen in OC/UC articles both those bridges are cut.

I've used a soft pencil to reconnect the second bridge from the left, but have so far had no luck. The CPU report itself as an AMD XP, not mobile nor MP, and as soon as I try to change the multiplier to anything but 12 the system refuses to boot until I reset the CMOS. The motherboard in question is an Abit K7V. I guess the use of the bridges have changed, or that the multiplier now is _really_ locked, or something like that.

Anyhow, if anyone have had any luck in unlocking this CPU, I would be most thankful for info on how to proceed.

The multiplyers on most AMD chips and all but a few engineering sampes of Intel processors are superlocked. No one has experienced reproduceable unlocking of superlocked chips. The mobile barton chips are still unlocked (I believe). The newer chips (mobiles and desktops) from AMD, usually, allow underclocking but not overclocking by using the multipliers.
