    typing error.

Serious Sam the second encounter is exactly as the name says.

Serious Sam II is a completely new engine with new enemies etc.

On the Serious Forums you can find quite a bit more info.

Been a wait'in fer this since second encounter.
The way I heard the story was that they ran out of money partway through development so they released serious sam first encounter (its what they had completed), to get money to finish. The second encounter is the intended end of the first game.
So most afficianados refer to the up comming game as Serious Sam 2, even though it will be the third in the series.
This results in mucho confusion pretty much every time this comes up, which is pretty funny even if its not so serious.
    Enjoy!

All I can say is: YEEHAW

Keep your crappy Doom3, HL2, Quake 4, all the other modern FPS games - if SS2 stays true to SS1/SE then it's gona be worth dropping out of uni to play full time
    Eh?

gotta agree with you on that one too-much

played doom3 and i'm playing HL2 again, but it just doesn't have the same addictiveness as Sam.

    I can't wait myself.

from what I have read on the serious forums, it is pretty much keeping with the previous games. They have got some new weapons and from what I have read vehicles, but the idea is the same, enemies, more enemies and just to make it more fun even more enemies.

I TOTALLY agree with you on this man. Serious Sam is a great game, very addictive also, but can get frustrating sometimes when you're overrun by those skeleton horses (?).

I remember playing it with my friend on local LAN. We had so much fun, laughing our heads off when the other party died from being overwhelmed by the horde. And when one of us was laughing at the other, the laughing one would immediately die from being overwhelmed as well.

It's gonna be a good few months before it comes out, so I installed SS the second encounter again last night so I can get back into it.

I loved the game for the simple reason you start it up, switch off your brain, and wait for the hordes
