    Painting old cases

What type of paint would work best on old pc cases, the painted steel, now beige?

i would recommend using a primer too, i painted my current case, which is from 1991, with just a few coats of black paint, right over the beige. It scratched right off.
I had it repainted by a friend of mine, he used primer, and it doesnt scratch off, just gets scratched!

I would also help to clean the case before priming it, like finger prints, coffee, etc. Good Luck

It really depends on the quality of paint job you want. Some will use a spray paint and get a decent job, and some, will use Automotive paint, primer, etc, for a fantastic looking case.

I painted my Thermaltake case with automotive spray paint. It actually came out pretty decent, although I had gotten the wrong paint and it wasn't as glossy as I hoped for. I'll post some pics of the 'process' to show you the outcome later today.
