    Fan Polarity

If you want the fan to be situated the same way as normal but blow the opposite way, is it safe to switch ground and 12v to make it run backwards?

you can not, inside a fan is a dynamo/motor

    it only goes one way

you will have to reverse the fan physically

you would get a fan that didn't do anything. the fan blades are designed to rotate in one direction. reversing the direction would not reverse the air flow. just turn the fan around.
