internet slow down from porn sites

When I got my new laptops it was like a dsl connection but with dial up. But I started to look at porn sites and how much time it took to load a web site was getting slower and I want to know how to fix it

I did that and it still didn't help. I think it is something else and I stop looking at porn before I did this forum.

Run MS AntiSpy, you'll probably have to download a copy of CounterSpy - 15 days only for the free version, afterwords you'll need to bother finding another spyware prog which will WANT to detect what disables MS' version. Most seem to miss these, or disable the parts that affect all but AntiSpy since they don't want to help a compeditor. MS Antispy is quite good except for the fact you need a second utility since it is now targetted to be disabled while others aren't. You'll still download updates, but you'll notice it'll never run, even when you click on it and tell it to. CounterSpy uses the same engine and winds up finding the garbage that disables it that Adaware and Spybot S&D miss. Your going to need all those programs anytime you go wading through something that is going to carry a lot of trash on it - and porn is up there with spam, warez and cracking sites on the sheer amount of garbage they'll happily load onto your computer. Grab a decent VS scanner and firewall while your at it.

Chances are that your PC has been hijacked and is being used as a porn server. How do you think that people keep porn servers up? They keep getting kicked from legitimate servers, so they hijack newbies and their DSL/cable connections.

If you EVER get an e-mail from a porn site, delete it immediately. NEVER give your credit card info to them because they will steal your identity.

In short, these pirates use their quasi-illegal status and user shyness to take extreme advantage of naive users.

If a site takes over your comp to use as a server, run the scans as the guys suggested, but use pest patrol and highjack this and post the log on the forum.

When they take over your comp, there will also be few entries in the Internet options/ downloaded program files. If there not "yahoo-class ect or any u recognise u can delete em. Usually u may see "hot sex...." ect, there can be deleted.

Also your registry will be FULL of server links and proxy addresses. You will need a simple tool like Reg Vac to clean these half dead entries to free up resources ONCE U HAVE SCANNED FIRST. dont play with the registry before u have done the scans or there will be little point.

Porn sites invariably are the source of mostly diallers and trojans although cracks and code pages have a nasty habit of firing them up too
For viruses see irc , eastern european download web sites and warez sites not to mention kazaa,bearshare,limewire etc to a lesser extent!

Try a demo of spysweeper
Run it in conjunction with adaware and spybot , spywareblaster,bhodemon , cwshredder and mrucleaner

Then give it a blast with one or two - i prefer 3 different virus checkers preferably in safe mode!

Check your run lists in the registry whilst in safe mode and look for anything suspicious - it takes an expert to know what all the run files are for but if you post em ill give em the once over!

Check your firewall is working and up to date - use Outpost or Sygate.

All that stuff is free except the 30 day trial with spysweeper!

Check the program files directory and windows directory for any directory called diallers and delete it!

Remove your hosts file!
Download tweakdun and let it recreate your hosts files from ie favorites etc it also has the best graphic dun meter to analyze your network speed and its very accurate!

You can also use task manager to analyze your processes - be suspicious of any file that is taking up more than 25% processor utilization and also check the number of handles open for the file and perhaps also the peak memory usage!

Its getting more complex - i could go on but i suggest you try the basics above
