lol im sure he will find that very useful

if your worried about it being to hot then dont cause the 9600XT's run nice and cool i ran mine with out a fan for a week playing stuff like C&C generals and even then was fine, but if you just wanna know the temps well then the only way ive ever dont it is with a probe on the back of the vid card leading to a LCD panel on the front of the case i.e hardcano series or aerogate kinda things

9600XTs do come with sensors. Install a recent set of Catalysts, then look under the "Overdrive" tab in your display settings. The temp's listed there.

OK, maybe I should have said most 9600XTs have sensors nVidia's reference model calls for the chip to be installed, but I remember hearing about some early Sapphire cards (and others) not including it. What make's your card? If there's no sensor on there, no monitoring software is going to be able to tell you the temps.

No, it should be in the standard display options where the "3D" and "Display" tabs are.

Hmm... Try ATItool, that can do temperature monitoring IIRC:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/atitool/

If that won't work, it's possible your card doesn't support it.

Probably, yes One more to try:

If your card doesn't support temp monitoring, there's not a lot you can do.
