Changing PSU Fan To Quieter Version
First of all I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this. Umm I have a cheap 350w power supply and it has the loudest fan I have ever herd. I am seriously considering changing it because if I leave my computer on over night it always wakes me up. I looked on the PSU but couldnt find any specs or even a brand name for it. I was just woundering if anyone knew what kind of cfm's this new fan im getting would have to put out. I know they definately need more than a case fan but I dont know how much. I found one fan that flows 32.5cfm would that be enoguh?
Re: Changing PSU Fan To Quieter Version
Most likely, yes. Bear in mind that the fan might not be connected to the PSU''s circuit board by a connector, but rather hooked directly into the power wires which might make things a bit more tricky. In all honesty, I'd just buy a better quality PSU with a quiet fan. Those cheapo models can be responsible for all kinds of problems

K thanks for the help. im actually starting to live with the noise and barely notice it anymore. I was thinking about buying one with a few more watts and quieter fan. I might overclock my computer down the road and I dont think my 350W MAX would be enough.
