I'm no expert but it found some stuff on my rig that ad aware and spybot both missed (all updated and current versions).

M$ needs to be careful in this area - it might start reporting the OS as spyware.

So far I like the options and reports it gives while scanning. You have the choice to allow or block everything such as file loads, registry entries, etc.

It works rather well being a well established product which M$ bought in.

Then l ran into problems with the dreaded 'Searchsquire' pest,
it couldn't sort that one out.

    Still a worthwhile program.

I'm using it right now, I like the features its real-time scanner has. I disabled TeaTimer and now use the MS scanner.

I tried it and it found stuff that AdAware and Spybot had missed. However one of the things it reported as adware was an eDonkey installer (not the program itself). Also the detailed information on the things it found didn't appear to be working for me.

One last niggle: I don't have automatic updates enabled, and it doesn't ask to check for updates before a scan, like AdAware does.

All in all a rather good antispyware tool, I'll keep using it if it stays free.
