Who has o/c'd ECS K7S5a?

Dug out an old mobo, which was the gem inuts day, bion wore the performance crown during its heydey. I have researched and found several different O/C bios, honey x apparently having the best. What are you using and how fast? I have an xp2200 on a version 1005 board with ob audio and lan. 512 ddr 2100, firewire/usb2 cards, 8mb cache 80 g WD hd with cable. Presently stock bios reads cpu as 1600 duron. Thats eird, cuz I ran a 200 750 TBird at 133/133 for an even gig o/c chip speed.

Anyone have any experience/suggestions on how to reach 150/150 or better? I'd rather not have tpo set the parameters with every boot as some schemes require, wish to just flash and go.

Does this board support a 333MHz FSB? If so you could get better RAM and try to overclock your XP 2200+ to the T-Bred B XP 2800+ (the one AMD released as a "limited edition"). Both chips have the same 256K L2 cache and a 13.5 multiplier but the 2200+ runs at 266MHz instead of the 2800+'s 333. That would be a decent increase from 1.8GHz to 2.246.

I have worked on the ECS L7VTA which won't let you change multipliers but will let you raise vcore. Assuming your board has the same limitation and looking at the CPU you've got, trying to get a 166/333 FSB seems the way to go. The math works great but your board and CPU will have to play the game, too.

Definitely try a newer BIOS to see if it recognizes the XP 2200+ and XP 2800+ (and maybe give you 166, too?).
