pcchips M863G mb - no video

    I just bought a pcchips M863G motherboard with a XP2600
Athlon cpu. I also have a single 256mb stick of Micron Technology
pc2700 DDR. Power supply is an old 250W unit with just the main double row ATX connector.

The power light comes on and the cpu fan is running but that's it. No video. Does power also have to be provided to the 4 pin molex connector? The manual says this connector is for cpu vcore. I thought that connector was for a Pentium 4. If I do need a power supply with this conn, is it standard or do I have to buy a specific supply for the AMD?

Yes, it won't run without it. look for an AMD approved psu and you'll be fine.

Of course you need to connect power to ALL power inputs.

It's not having a "no video" problem, it's suffering from "no power to CPU".
