We need the full spec of the system, What service pac's and so on. Just a general question like this without spec's is like shooting with your eyes closed.

Found an earlier thread that said to uncheck scan floopy drives on shutdown in Norton Anti-Virus. What do you think?

    You can try that.

Without us knowing what your running for hardware its kind of hard to make any suggestions. As far as we know right now you might be running a P75 with a built in S3 video on a 1 gig HDD and 16 meg of memory. Having shutdown problems and not knowing a config and software and what is running in the background ties our hands.
