    Can't get rid of spyware..

I keep getting this IE popups from a site called xadsq.offeroptimizer.com. I've updated Ad-aware to it's fullest, run a full scan on all drives, cleaned my registry, deleted unknown files and folders on my drives and updated my VS, but nomatter my best efforts, I can't get rid of them!! It pops up constantly and puts up annoying ads! I've got popupkiller, google toolbar and MSN toolbar, both with their popup blockers on, and they don't stop it. Any ideas?

    Download/Update Adaware,Spybot,CWShredder,Spywareblaster,Antivir

    Disable System Restore

    Restart in safe mode

Start->run->%temp% - delete everything in this folder

    Delete your temporary internet files.

Do full system scans with all of these programs in safe mode

    Restart, re-enable system restore

I believe thats a Betterinternet variant. Try using the VX2 plugin with Ad-Aware SE , see if it helps.

OK, I installed Spybot S/D and it found 86 (!) registry keys that Ad-aware missed. I haven't gotten the popup yet, but I'm going to random sites trying to get it to popup again. If it doesn't, I guess problem solved, but if it does I'll try some of the other things you guys suggested.

One thing I do is surf with java off, this helps but may not stop the installations of this CR*P, plus u can start putting these sites in the restricted sites of IE > right click the IE icon on desk top > security > restriced sites > sites. Copy an paste xadsq.offeroptimizer.com an put it in this zone. I've got many urls in this zone, I view the source of a web page an find these auto DL of this CR*P an just place them in my restricted site list.

In addition to AdAware Se 1.05 & Spybot S/D, I also run
Spyhunter & have a copy of Pest Patrol, Hijack This & the
latest CWShredder .. If all else fails, I also have access to
    AVG 7.0

As to the Popups, get a copy of Pop Up Stopper Pro
    from:

    www.panicware.com

Also, the Goggle Toolbar popup stopper works pretty good.
Between the two of them I don't get many popups.

Also, SP2 has a Good popup stopper built in.
