    Case Lock

    Hey all,

well, being the stupid forgetfull person that i am, i think i may have left my Case key in minnesota or somone threw it away when i moved to florida.. I was wondering if thermaltake would send a new key, or how much do new locks run at? The case is unlocked at the moment, but i dont want it to be unlocked because when i go somewhere i dont want anyone to touch it (last time dad went on it, somehow large amounts of spyware and trojens were found)

Its a generic key that they have IIRC, my friend's antec key works in my thermaltake, and vice versa, try to get someone who you know who has one and let them give you one of the two keys their case came with.

hmm...i'm thinking that thermaltake will be able to send you a new key, if you e-mail their customer service department or something...just to make sure, the key that is for your case is one of those circular keys about 1/8" diameter with a notch at the top, right?

Wow. I wouldn't have thought they would send a replacement for a lost key, without a price of course.

I have one that I picked up recycling that was missing the key and unlocked. I just picked up a whole new lock at the hardware store, they are about the same as a drawer lock anyway.

Got it in there with a minimum of dremeling.
