How to determine the right case ???

Hi ... I am trying to understand when buying an PC case how do you know which will fix with the motherboard ?? What i am trying to do is install my motherboard that i have to a new case but i am not sure how it works , if someone could be so kind as to explain this part to me i am sure everything will go smooth ... I have at the moment Asus P4P800 Deluxe motherboard , its the Intel 865PE Chipset , Now from what i understand i have to set it up with the 865 chipset , but how do you determine which case ??? Thanks
