    help! my pc can not shutdown

    OS is win98se, when i shutdown, a display appear "window is shutdowning" and .....halt,

    pls, help me how can i fix this problem

    there are several updates for shutdown problems. run windows update.

    run msconfig and make sure there isn't anything unnecessary running in the background.
