    Mick Doohan.

He should have walked the '92 500cc championship but broke his leg at Assen to miss the title by 2 points. During his recovery he had his legs sown together for a while to save his right leg.

He then went on to win the 500cc world championship five times in a row from '94 onwards.

My favourite would have to be Harold Holt.

The only leader of a country that did the honorable thing and got himself eaten by a shark.

If only today's leaders would live up to his legacy.

I read he was picked up by a communist Chinese submarine, as he was a spy, and had been uncovered by ASIO.
It was probably written by the same source that writes about Kerry's vietnam service.

Just like that rather good parody in Toy Story 2.
