    About time...D3

I don't own D3, nor have I played. Not to say that I wouldn't like to however.
I have been posting here since October 2003 and Doom 3 has been talked about the entire time, and probably has been the topic of many threads long before I arrived. I for one am so incredibly glad that the game is out so that we can all stop talking about what it will be like. Likely, in a few months most will have packed D3 away to the game drawer. Now, if only HL2 would come out b/c that game has been hyped and discussed so much that is nearly unhealthy.

    Enjoy your D3 gaming

Yep... got doom3 (my new game Jones is temporarily satisfied). Now my collection needs Serious Sam 3 (or 2 sepending on how your number them) Painkiller 2... and , of course, HL2 (I just hope its not as buggy as the first one). Carmack sets the programming standard IMO.
    Enjoy!

Much quicker than that i reckon, given the hefty relaince on sripted sequences and somewhat archaic gameplay mechanics the replay value of Doom III is pretty low. It's a decent game but it does rely a great deal on "first time wow" factor for its enjoyability

PLaying the same game again but with 75% less health isnt really what i would call "replay value"

Thats right, the game is not fully beat until you beat it on Nightmare mode... I'll find the article I read that in
