    DON'T use NanoTherm PCM+

    ...at least, just yet...

I ordered a thermaltake heat pipe cooler off xoxide.com

...under the addons for the cooler, it suggested NanoTherm PCM+ as the "best" recommendation for thermal grease, so i decided to get it...

...only then did i read reviews on the thermal compound, seems as though it works fine with aluminum heatsinks, but when it comes to copper heatsinks (Like my thermaltake heatpipe...), it has the nasty habit of corroding the copper, which could eventually lead to heatsink failure and a fried CPU for the user...

    <-- AC5 fanboy

I'd Always stick with AC - current version is AC5 (Arctic silver) readily available at most online places.

    *Edit*

Update on the problem. Apparently the corrosion problems have been sorted out and all is well with Nanotherm. Take a look at the temps on the second to last page of this review, it performs quite well it seems...

Probably best to stick with a proven compound like AS3/5.

You just have to laugh at NanoTherm's 'special applicator'
