cd-rom busy light

just put in a new creative 48x cd-rom into new computer setup.everything is working fine except for the fact that the busy light indicator on the cd-rom never goes off except when there is no cd in it. you put a cd into it the light come on and never shuts off even if it not being accessed.have a creative 32x in a different computer and don't have this problem. any suggestion??? thank-you

I have a 42x Rodeo that does the same thing. I just figured the light was on to indicate that there was a cd present it the drive. It works perfectly otherwise.
