PC Case (Lanboy) Question

Just wondering - I bought an Antec Lanboy case. The case is pretty nice, but I had an issue with the motherboard adapter on the back for the ports and sound connectors to fit through. It still had some metal cutouts that I had to manually remove so that the ports could fit through. It was a pain, and the edges of these cutouts ended up being kind of sharp.

Is there a good way (or tool) to cut these properly, and do better quality cases have this part done already?

usually these are easy to remove by hand, sorry i never had lanboy so i dunno whats wrong with antec cases

Actually, this is because you bought a cheap motherboard that didn't come with its own.

All cases have the standard cover that is normally removed and replaced with the one that came with your motherboard. If you have to use the standard one, you can remove the pre-stamped slots by setting it on the carpet and pressing down on the slot with a screwdriver.

Actually, my motherboard did come with it's own.

Sorry if I wasn't clear - the cover did come with the motherboard. It's just that even though the port holes are "mostly" open, there are some straggling pieces of metal that look like they may need to be there.

For example, the LPT port is pretty much open, except for some pieces at the top and bottom that look like metal "teeth" in the hole. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to (a) Clip those off so that the LPT port has a clear hole or (b) Push the port through these "teeth" so that they fold on top and bottom of the port as it pushes through.

Oh ok, the teeth normally stay although sometimes you might need to bend them a little. They're really just guides that hold everything in place untit you get the motherboard tightened down.
