    Can Nero do this?

FINALLY figured out how to use Nero Vision Express to turn AVI into MPEG and then burn onto a blank CD for watching on my DVD player. NOW the next goal is can I use Nero to either a) fit a movie over 80 minutes onto one disc OR b) split it into two seperate files? Thanks.

How did you use Nero to convert? What Nero product are you using?

He just said he was using Nero Vision Express.

I don't think you can fit a movie longer than 80 minutes onto a CD. As for the splitting it, do you mean as in making chapters? If yes, you can split the file into chapters. If you mean split a movie that won't fit onto a CD, then I've always used VirtualDub to split AVIs for similar situations. Google for it if you don't have it already.

I have a couple of video file converters. But they cost money. You can use TMPGEnc free version to convert AVI to mpeg. And then split the mpeg files for CD burning.

Search around for VCD Easy V1.15 It's a free version but hard to find right now. It'll burn to CD faster than Nero.
