Shouldn't those ATi hard drives be ATA hard drives? And are they S(erial)ATA?
Tell us about your RAM.

"Small cords instead of the ribbon" sounds like SATA drives to me. If you're wanting to learn about overclocking and mess around with it a bit, there're plenty of how-tos here and elsewhere on the net. But if you feel you need more performance, you don't

well the price on the motherboard and processor was around 550-600$ the HD's were 160$ for the 120, 90$ for the 80, and the WD IDE HD was 80$. The X800 XT graphics card was $499 the case was $189...but I traded my old motherboard in (and some other stuff i had from the updates) on all this too so I got a couple hundred knocked off, the memory was $132 a pop. I got the rest i.e DVD,CD etc in bits and pieces over time. so not too bad really, for a build it yourself job. Just the Kingston, at $139 a pop, I should have probably tried new egg, and I almost jumped on the corsair... but Im not that computer savvy..hehe, I work with computers all day, but am just now getting into the idea of overclocking and learning as much as possible. I appreciate all the comments, and any other help is greatly appreciated. I tried out Farcry yesterday, and it was a great in "low" settings, but as i raised the graphics to push them up to ultra the sound got choppy, and it "stuck in a few places. don't know if thats normal or not? But i have the soundcard that came with the motherboard, so i may have to invest in a sound card too?
again thx guys
