PC Water cooling poll
This poll is in refernce to a thread i began earlier. The link is below. I would like to know how everyone feels about this topic.
I wouldn't. But hypothetically if I was, I wouldn't spend less than probably 400. Some of those watercooling kits under three bills don't justify there price over a quality air cooled rig.
If you want performance chilled water or phase change is the way to go. I'm strange, I'm working on chilled air (phase change comes later). If someone could convince me to return to water an excellent system (one that could outperform my ($80) dual fan ducted sp-97) shouldn't cost much more than $180 to build (why waste money on a prebuilt kit?).
I'd water cool, but I'd prolly build it myself. Most of the kits I've seen are no better at cooling than a decent HSF/fan combo. But they cost much more.
I figure I could build a custom water cooler for $300 or less and get considerably better performance than a kit or air cooling.
