    Unknown Processor W/Mobile 2500?

    Hey all,

I just finished replacing my asus a7n8x-e deluxe/athlon 2500xp with my new mobile athlon 2500 & abit nf7-s and I am experiencing some issues.

My processor comes up as an Unknown Processor in both my windows setting and bios settings. Is this normal for this setup?

Try flash updating your BIOS. It still may not show the correct processor though.

Its not a cause for concern, its because your using a mobile chip (designed for Laptop/Notebooks) in a desktop board.
