What is Visual Studio.net?
My college has this deal with M$ where students can get all sorts of software for a very minimal charge of right around $7 I went ahead and took advantage of it and ordered programs I knew i'd never use, but the visual studio.net I know nothing about. What is it?
BTW, I was able to get Windows XP Pro, Viso Professional 2003, Project 2003 Professional, and Visual Studio.net all for under $50!!!

Visual Studio is a package with development tools for several languages. More specifically, Visual Studio .NET is targeted at web applications and data oriented (or data centered) applications and it's development core relies on XML written applications (often called web services).
