ABIT & Celerona Problems.
I am having a problem with my system not booting up and passing post. Sometimes it will not pass post and give me the system beep. I have to unplug power and restart two ot three times and then it passes. I have an ABIT bh6 Celeron 300a (NOT OVERCLOCKED) a RIVA TNT Video Card and PCI 128 Sound card.
Have you heard of this before? and is my processor going bad?

Sounds like you don't have something seated
all the way? Try pulling all cards, mem, and
CPU and make sure they are all seated fully!
Also check all wiring to make sure it is all
tight. Hope that helps. Jim

I have almost the identical configuation and also can't get beyond post. With just the TNT vidio card, Abit BH6, Celeron 300a (not overclocked) I can't get past post. I receive the message unusable cpu or change detected. When I change the setting they will not hold in bios, yet the setup for a hard drive will.

I have a problem with the same combo using a winmodem. The system runs fine and will overclock to 450, but whenever I try to go on the web, the system will do a restart after 1 - 5 minutes. I have changed modem drivers, used a different winmodem, tried at 300mhz, all to no avail. The only success I've had is going back to a Sirra 28.8 ISA modem.
AS to the 2 problems above, it really does sound like something is not seated properly.

I have a 300a, BH6, AsusTNT V3400TV, and a 300watt power supply.
I get little irregular white dotted lines down the screen, even in the CMOS setup. In Windows, I get screen corruption. The video card (AGP TNT) works fine in every other machine I've tried. My board used to run an AGP S3VirgeGX2 with no problems.
I've swapped the BH6, with no success...
Could it be my power supply?
Wierd...
