Sounds like you need a new PSU...

May be the Video card - swap if you have extra.
I would try modem, and keyboard - anything else swappable if you have parts.
    Of course could be Mobo.

    Good Luck.

Take a very close look at the motherboard. Are any of the capacitors bulging? It sounds to me as if you have a dead motherboard since the fans aren't even spinning.

I am working on the principle that you are using onboard graphics, since as I recall the 845GL chipset doesn't have an AGP slot.

    Hi,

Yes I am using the onboard display.
    Also using a Lan card.

I tried removing everything. Keyboard, Hard drive..

I am going to look around the board to see if there are any bulging capacitors.
Could this be a broblem with the ATX switch??

I havent tried removing the ram. Should I try this too??

    Thanks for all your help

Could not hurt to remove RAM if it is not too much trouble.

Looking more likely to be motherboard - since you changed the PSU and swapped out all else.

Hardware problems can cause the fan to stop on the PSU.
I believe this is a failsafe built into the PSU.

But RAM causing the PSU to shut down?
