Excellant... Congratulations. I peaked out at 2688 MHZ with the availiable mother board voltage options (1.825V). I'm going to be forced to Vmod it.
Good luck on the corsair if it is version 1.1 it is probably BH-5.
What kind of temps are you seeing? Depending or room temp mine is running 39-40 C.
Lets see how far we can push these things on air.
Enjoy!

Do you need that extra speed or do you just want to see how far you can overclock it?
I mention this because that RAM is really expensive, and if you are only buying it for a minimal speed increase, you might be disappointed.

I would agree....you maybe going to get a few extra Mhz from your CPU (if you are lucky)...but certainly not worth shelling out 200£'s on.
However...if it a personnal goal in life...then maybe it is

I'm gonna third what the previous two have said. Not worth it if you're just doing it to overclock more. I've got some PC2700 Corsair XMS thats running at PC3200 speeds to get my 2500+@3200+. Because its only PC2700, I had to increase my CAS latency to 2.5. As much as I'd love to get some real PC3200 or PC4000 memory to run at 2,2,2,7 instead of 2.5,3,3,7 its just not worth it to see my 3dmark 01 score increase by a couple hundred points.
That is a nice OC though... Is this a mobile 2500+ you're running?

Just passed 2.7G... game stable, currently running prime 95 for a better test. I had to install my mobile 2500 chip and the Uber 1004 BIOS in my A7N8X to do it though. I am still fighting power supply issues and waiting for my Forton 530.
12.5 X 218 @ 39C and 1.825V.
No volt mods...yet.
It's not that I need the speed... I like the challenge.
Enjoy!

I have a Barton 2500 not a mobile!
And the temps were, all air cooled of course:

2716Mhz@36c http://www.zone.ee/platoonsgtelias/1/Best_mhz.JPG?2
edit: if someone would send me a Mobile for free lol, I would OC that biotch to a 3GHz I suppose

Yep, I'm geting an Asus A7N8X board to do it (with much more limited orverclocking options I'll try the desktop chip again when my fortron 530 gets here.
Until then, I bow to your superior hardware.
Enjoy!
