    bluescreen setupdd.sys

I can't get my computer to boot using winXp or even reinstall winXp. It started with getting a chkdsk proceedure before booting and now when I to reinstall windows after booting from the installation disk it doesn't complete the boot but goes to a blue screen that gives me the message, "The problem seems to be caused by the following file:setupdd.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED-AREA. setupdd.sys - address F84C5E4C base at F84A1000, Datestamp 3G7D8507.
    Technical information:
    ***stop: 0x00000050 (0xb1de1328,0x00000000, 0xf84c5f4s, 0x0000000)
    ***setupdd.sys - address F84c5e4c base at F8411000, Datestamp 3b7d8507.
This has happened with two different hard drives. After it happend on the first hard drive I switched to the slave drive on which I had installed WinXp and changed to the Master and after I had transferred all my data and had installed all my programs, ithappened on that drive Too.
    I don't have a clue.
I tried switching memory. I am thinking about installing these drives as slaves on another system and reformatting them and starting over - but will the same thing happen again? It must be a problem with one of my programs or in the bios???
    Anyone have a clue?
