Hey forum! I am having some problems with my I/O Magic PCI-Wave (Vortex1) sound card and a Soyo B66 BX P-2 m'board. I had similar problems with a TBS Montego (also Vortex1) and a PC-Wave M726 BXcel (ALi chipset) m'board. The only thing the two m'boards have in common (chipset wise) is the Winbond hardware monitoring stuff (CPU temp, fan speed, system temp, voltage monitoring, etc.). My Montego now runs quite well on Abit BH6, which DOES NOT have any Winbond monitoring chip on it. Has anyone found a workaround for the problem? My good old SoundBlaster16 Wave-Effects is doing OK on the SOYO board, but I'd rather go PCI/digital if I could. Thanks!
