    Bootup Problem?

I recently started having a problem with system on startup. When I turn on the computer it has sort of an erratic clicking noise after it counts up the memory, off and on until it gets into Windows95. Once in Win95 it keeps giving me a windows tone like when a download is complete. I hit ctrl-alt-del then cancel and it stops. Everything seems to work fine after that. If I just restart the computer without shutting it down it does not do this. Prior to this problem I had just downloaded and installed a Win95 Y2K fix, a Norton2000 BIOS test/fix and a game demo. My ststem is a CTX brand with an AMD K6-233 with 64MB. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve

Look in system properties maybe are some devices in conflict. I think it is hardware or bios problem. Try updating bios. Or try change you motherboard cards.

Try swapping keyboards with known good one. If that doesn't work try removing all external perephrels, and internal cards execpt the good keyboard, and video. Boot with a clean startup disk. If it still happens, you have elimated alot of possibilitys. If not, try installing one card at a time and boot up. This will pinpoint which card may be causing the problem.

Oh and by the way...Does the clicking start happening before or after the single beep after mem count? Are you getting any other beeps then just the normal one ?
