Trouble opening a Case!

I'm embarrassed to say ... I cannot figure out how to remove the case from a HP Kayak XU 500 Series PIII computer to install a CDRW for a friend. There are two pull tabs on the side of the front panel that you can open ... but I do not see how that enables the case to be removed. Any help is appreciated.

i think that was the one where you pull the tabs and the covers slides off the front with the sides and faceplate. if there aren't any screws in the back, i'm fairly certain that's how to do it. don't quote me on that, though.

Thanks much! That was it ... how non-standard! And ... this baby needs a proprietary bracket for installation .. oh boy! Uggh.
