I have acompton's 98 encyclopedia and for some reason my CD-ROM will not read it without locking up the computer. Or almost locking it up!! All other CD-ROMS seem to work fine. I haven't had it to long and it used to work but not consistently. Seems like the drive tries to read it on and off real fast. That is how it seems to access this CD-ROM. Any suggestions. It's a Creative labs 12 x CD-ROM. (infra 1800).
