System Resources
I have an AMD K6-2 400mhz system w/128mb SDRAM, 12gb HD, 8mb ATI AGP graphics. When I boot up...doing nothing (yet)...system information informs me that "free system resources" are 63-68%! HOW CAN THIS BE?!The only things running on my system tray are the drivers for my multimedia keyboard, ATI graphics card, and the driver for my UPS. HELP!!!
Thanks...Jim

GO TOSYSTEM INFORMATION WITH IS IN TOOLS,THEN TO SYSTEM CONFIGURATION. Sorry Caps lock, go to the start tab, look at all those items that are running on startup in the background.I'm assuming you have windows 98 shut some of those things down. Can't give you any other info untill I know more. I start five items , but that's my personel opinion. findfast, virusscan, tips, etc.write back, let's see what we can do

if your running win98 run msconfig.exe from your system folder and check out the startup tab and see what's sneaking through the backdoor.
