    Computer will not boot up

Have a computer that will not boot up. The lights all on as if working. Does not seem to be a power problem. Will not boot when push reset button. This is a computer I am working on for a lady. She was working on a program when it froze up and she just turned the computer off without pushing the reset button first.

If the machine is hung try unplugging it and take the battery out and back in. Hold down the power button and press down the button on the top of the laptop that controls the LCD -open/close button. Hold for 30sec+ and then let both go and it may restart for you. Had the same problem several times with laptops- mostly Toshibas.

It can be hardware problem, like processor, motherboard etc. If the picture come not on it usually is. But if picture comes in it is not hardware problem(usually).
