PMagic-Is this really happening??
I can't believe it, but it seems to be true...
Every time I use this program inside win98 or from CLI (DOS) I get a deleted Partition Table or something like that! I just use it to see how my partitions were created. I didn't made any changes at all.
I got to say that I'm using Disk Manager from Westen Digital (bad combination, right??)
Linux instalation? Forget it ...

PD: partitions are not deleted, they still there, just they seems to be "empty" acording to FDisk and Disk Mngr.
For example, part #1 2 Gb type "unknown" (instead FAT32) usage %.

You should back up your data, delete all partitions and start from the beginning. The partition table is corrupt.

I already did that several times, even with another version of PMagic (6 and 6+). I've got another pc with the same combination (DiskManager -from Quantum- & PMagic 6) and no trouble were found.
I still suspect that DDO from Western Digital . . .

Why are you using Disk Manager/EZ BIOS? Those things are horrible and rarely necessary unless your motherboards are 10 years old. Use a Promise card instead.

Pc in question is a P166 obviously limited to a 8.4 Gb.
But I don't understand why can't use PMagic in the way i use it in the other Pc (PcChips M558-P233).
This mobo is better than that. It has DMA support for HD's and Cdroms and I like it!
