FIC VA-503+ Memory Problem
I've just installed 2 64 Meg memorys into my DIMM PC-100 slots, but only registers as a total of 64 megs. . .now. . .it doesn't matter if I put only 1 in, (either one) or which slot the 1 (either memory chip) goes into, it registers for them, but when I try to put them BOTH in, it still only registers 1 of the DIMM chips . .anyone help me with this, as this REALLY bothers me. .I'd HAD 2 32 meg DIMMS in before this, so . . .

Maybe you can turn both memories on in bios setup, you can also try these memories in other computers maybe they are corrupt. Or you motherboard had some jumpers where you can enable both memories.

I have the same board and got the same problem when I added a 64mb of PC100 ram to my current 32mb - it first only registered 32mb as before. However, when I switched the dimms around, it booted up properly w/ 96mb. I really don't know what else to tell u. Good luck.

Wait, try this - I think this is what I did. First, Put only one of your dimms in and let it boot up properly. Then, shutdown and put the other dimm in. Hope that works.

I just exchanged this brand for 1 128 Meg chip, by another manufacturer, they told me that this was probably the problem, as some motherboards don't "like" certain memory. . .
