    Memory count won't stop

How do I get to stop the memory count without pressing the ESC key. I'm running winXP Pro. I have a MSI motherboard I'm running a duron 900. I've checked the BIOS but no luck. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to SysOpt.
Do you mean it doesn't stop at all unless you press ESC, or does it just take a long time? Look for an option in the BIOS that's called something like "Enable Fast/Quick Boot" and turn it on.

try setting "quick power on self test (post)", whilst that doesn't get to the root of the problem it should skip the memory test

Some motherboards dont have that option. (usually very old ones, but your's should)

"quick power on self test "
    "Enable Fast/Quick Boot"

thanks that quick power on self test helped. It counts the memory then boots up. Thanks again
