    I have a AMD 1.2GHz Athlon Thunderbird PC but I have been using Win 98 SE on it since its installation.

    Now I planning to change the OS to Win XP Professional but I don't know about the compatibility.

    Might want to start your own thread on this...CBH.
    But...the Proc is definately compatible.

    Why don't you go to MS's site, and download their compatibility tool

    Oh, and if you'be been on 98 thus far, just get XP home.
    You won't need Pro
