PCI Bridge part Deux
Thanks for all the advice/help. Tried it all and finally Microsoft KB gave up the ghost. Turns out my MB will support the Bridge but the version of Win95osr2 "950" doesn't. Go to a later version, of Win95/98, or ask the maker of the board for a patch. Thanks again,no sarcasm really.

Curious? I have OSR2 "950" and with a few patches it has worked fine on the "PCI BRIDGE" for several boards.
Actually mine is OSR2.1 but it still said "950" - funny thing was after I installed IE4.01 it said version "1111." I have OSR2.5 also, but it still neads patches to get rid of that pesky "PCI BRIDGE" yellow exclaimation point.
With one particular board the patch readme file instructs me to install the patch, then go to the device manager and under "System/motherboard resources" to REMOVE THE PCI BRIDGE and then reboot - if I do not follow those exact instructions the new driver will not complete the install and /or load. I have found that to be true for some other baords as well.

most are like that CMonster, good point.
I would also boot in safe mode after and see how many doubles you have in device manager.
Remove all the doubles{all don't leave 1 of the 2}and reboot.
Let the machine find the drivers it needs and reboot again.
Drivers you need for the system are in C:/windows/system and io subsystem

Ha Ha, Yeah Bighammer,
I have done the doubles thing a few times Only there have been a couple of times that I found triples, quadruples, and quints!!!
-
only way to get those puppies to lay the drivers right.I
have gone to peoples houses and counted in the device manager how many times they tried to load drivers.
ROTFL
