System Hanging With STB 4400 riva TNT

I am uusing the nVidia TNT STB board on a HOT-591P Motherboard with an AMD K6-2 300 (100MHz x 3)AGP.
I previously used a 4Mb SiS 6326 card which ran fine. Does anyone know of any reasons why the TNT chip should cause such problems.

The system hangs any time after boot up,ie at start up or during an application:MS Office or Games. Very frustrating.
    Thanks in advance.

You did not mention if you have downloaded the latest bios update for the M/B. There have been issues with using AGP cards on Super7 boards. Issue may be with the chipset of the board, this is why I mention the bios update.Asus and FIC have posted updates to resolve AGP issues on socket7. Try Shuttles web sight for bio info
and what corrections the listed bios updates address. The TNT cards are very scaleable in that the better the cpu the better they perform.

Do you get screen corrutpion or just hangs,

I have a CL Riva TNT card with an AMD K6-2 400Mhz and I have screen corruption and hangs .

The frequncy depends on which version of the driver I am using, with the oldest being best.

Let me know if you hear of any compatibility issues.

    good luck
