I have a 486 notebook 3500 that I recently put a 1.2G seagate in. I had to use seagate's
ontrack overlay to get it to find the new HDD
but when I turn the power back on it tells me CMOS/checksum error... check battery/run setup. I've replaced the battery and the problem continues. When this happens, it says press F1 it returns to default bios settings and I have to change all the settings and save them. If I restatr the computer, no problem, shut off power, it gives this error again and the whole process starts over.Please help .
