Not sure I caught the beginning of this discussion thread but I have an Abit BH6 myself. I have a 128 Meg PC100 CAS Latency 2 stick installed in it that I got from:
    http://www.ram-ware.com
So far I've been happy with it. But I've only had the machine about 2 weeks. Only 2 freeze ups during that time and I use the machine heavily (and for lots of games).

For a really thouough understanding of SDRAM timings and latency study SDRAM Survey at www.bxboards.com and Demystification of SDRAM ... at optimize.bhcom1.com/english/hardinfo/pc100.htm Both also have some very useful charts of chip numbers and performance.
