Help getting rid of w98 logon prompt...

Whenever I start windows I get an annoying prompt to log on and I have to press enter to actually get into windows. How to I get rid of it? I have networked two computers and the other one doesn't do that. Thanks in advance!

Passwords are kept in files with pwl extension.

From Start button, Find, Files or Folders, and enter *.pwl. Either delete them or move them into a folder, just in case. You should see no dialog box in subsequent logons.

Also, you should probably set your Primary Network Logon to Windows logon. Right mouse-click on Network Neighborhood, select Properties, and you will see that option in the Configuration tab.

    Hope this helps.

Go to control panel>passwords and change your password. Type in your name but just leave the password box blank. If you don't have a password it won't ask you to log on.
