Help With D-Link Hub
Well i managed to get my hands on a D-link hub. Im told i can use this to share a high speed connection between two computers. Im trying to figure out how to do that, and the manual doesnt say anything about using it to share a connection. Its the 5 port version DE-805TP. I dont know which port im the cable modem is suppose to go into etc...
i need some help.

I don't think hubs do this real well. You might be better off looking into a router.
BTW, this should probably be in networking.

You have to use Internet connection sharing if you want to use a plain hub. The host PC will have to be on all of the time.
A router is a much better idea:

You can check if your ISP provides more than 1 IP. If so, then you could use just a hub. However, a router would give you the added protection of a firewall.
