    Nvidia Graphics Cards

Is the Nvidia FX 5800 card worth $150? How good is it?

Is the Nvidia Quadro4 750 XGL 128MB card good? How good is it too? $140 to much?

And what about the nVidia Ti4200? Worth $90? Any good? Or this 4200?

I do very little gaming but just need something better than my 1mb S3 Trio! Low budget...

    AMD XP 2400+
    CoolerMaster Aero 7+
    256mb Kingston PC2100
PcChips M811lu mobo- may upgrade to a asus

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

The Ti4200. It's the least feature packed of the cards, but it is still giving you the most bang for the buck in gaming compared to the FX and you don't need a professional card (the Quadro) since your not doing any rendering.

    You have a S3 1MB in that?!
I agree with SS, you don't need any of those cards, not even the Ti4200: if you hardly use the PC for gaming and want to spend as little as possible, you should go for the Geforce4 MX

If you're not planning on heavy gaming, IMHO the GF4MX will do perfectly

I'd go to about $60 - 65. That's a bit more than the GFMX440 but a much better card. Good luck!

Well, the current bid is almost $67 so it's a mute point now.

I just got out bid on the Asus ti4200...Its up to $66 and I don't think I want to go any higher. I'm looking at a few different cards- equal or better than the mx440...I am just looking to get the best buy for the buck under $70....Thanks for the help!

There's This . Its a Chaintech 5200FX card. Bit of overkill for you, but its only $62. Doesn't run as fast as a Ti 4200 does though.
Might do better with a Sapphire ATI 9200 . Its faster than the previous card I listed, only $68.

The prices for GF4 Mx cards I found at Newegg range from $58 to $64. Heck, spend the extra $10 and get the Ati card.

The A-FX20 not only comes with a DVI port but 128-bit DDR for $64.
